Satire, ridicule, taking the mickey have long featured as part of our culture; from Hogarth's painting via Punch to Mony Python's Life of Brian and Yes Minister. But, when Boris Johnson referred to burqas as letter boxes, the establishment media piled on and not just because they lacked a sense of humour. We will never have a Monty Python style Life of Mohammed with audiences rolling in the isles in Bradford. And crucially we are no longer allowed to take the mickey out of people especially muslims. Unless and until we can do that they will not be assimilated.
